Parent’s send their kids to school to learn. At lunch time, the kids should try to refuel their body and their brain cells to make learning easier. The best way for kids to refuel is with a healthy lunch that is nutritious and tastes good. However, it is difficult to make kids eat the classically healthy foods that adults might eat. Included here are a few foods that are guaranteed healthy and kid friendly.

Chocolate Milk

Just about every kid in school would love a glass of chocolate milk with their main meals at lunch or for a quick snack. Most kids avoid plain milk like the plague. However, chocolate milk tastes yummy and is a way to make sure that the kids receive the necessary amount of calcium that they require to build strong healthy bones, while they are still in their growing stage.

Flavored Yogurt

Yogurt is a yummy food that is also very healthy. Even flavored yogurt is low in calories but high in calcium and protein. Yogurt is the perfect snack food for kids during their growing stage, helping to build strong bones. Add fresh slices of fruit for extra flavor and vitamins.

Peanut Butter & Banana Sandwich

A peanut butter and banana sandwich on fiber-rich wheat bread is actually a very healthy snack for kids that do not have an allergy to peanuts. Parents should take the bread and cut into mini sizes for small hands or use a mold to cut out interesting shapes. Spread peanut butter on the slices and add a few slices of banana. The banana is packed with potassium. Peanut butter provides heart-healthy, monounsaturated fat. Wheat bread provides important fiber. However, it is important for parents to read the label on the bread and make sure that it is 100 percent, whole wheat fiber packed with calcium and potassium.
