One little girl’s summer-time road trip is much more than what you might expect. Eight-year-old Rosalyn Baldwin’s mission is to hug police officers in each state.
Children aren’t immune to effects of what they see and hear on the news. And even though it can have an emotional impact that some children aren’t equipped to handle on their own, it can also have amazing results. In 2016, after Baldwin heard about five police officers that were killed in Texas, she was deeply moved. But when she saw that three more officers were killed just weeks later (this time in Louisiana) she decided she needed to do something.

This is two days late. But its official Vermont is State 34!! Thank you for showing us the idyllic beauty of the covered bridges, and more of the rich natural treasures of Vermont and New England! Also thank you all for spending that quality time, with Rosalyn. God bless you all and thank you.❤💙❤💙
Baldwin decided to show her appreciation for the police in a totally simple way—with a hug. So her parents brought her to the police station in St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana. But that wasn’t enough.
The little girl wanted to keep on going…so she did! According to her website, Rosalynloves.com, Rosalyn has hugged her way across 35 states so far. And don’t think for one moment that she’s stopping. The little girl is on a mission!
Rosayln’s family has set up a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for her love-filled goal. So far the campaign has raised $12,650 of its $15,000 goal.
