Santa’s list keeps getting longer and longer. And that means you need all the budget flexibility you can get. So this work-from-home opportunity might be a perfect fit (and no sitting in rush hour traffic or having to rush home for preschool pickup!).

Amazon’s plan is to hire 1,750 virtual part-time, season, remote employees—by Oct. 14, 2018. The virtual employees will work as customer service associates. helping customers with everything from what to do about damaged items and how to get refunds to why their packages are late. Even though the position primarily includes customer contact via phone, some communication may happen over email or online chat.
This part-time position offers employees between 20 and 29 hours of work per week, with morning, afternoon or evening shifts available. Employees will need to work one or both weekend days.
There is a minimum 28-hour week during training, which happens over the first four weeks on the job. During this time the pay is $10/hour. After a successful training period, the pay increases to $12/hour.
So how can you apply for this work-from-home job? Well, you need to live in a specific geographic area. Amazon is currently only hiring in Nebraska, Idaho, South Carolina, New Mexico, Louisiana, West Virginia, Tennessee, Alabama, South Dakota, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Mississippi. You also need a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
This is a temporary position, lasting for up to nine months. Some employees may be asked to stay with Amazon longer, depending on their needs and job performance.
