The Great Georgia Air Show
Come see the high flying acts of the area’s best aviation and arial acrobatics teams at the Great Georgia Airshow. Kids will love the up-close-and-personal feel of this show where they can mingle with performers and the buzz-worthy kid’s zone. Disney On Ice—Let’s Celebrate!
It’s one colossal party on ice, with all their favorite Disney friends! Join Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse as they celebrate a Very Merry Unbirthday Party with Alice and the Mad Hatter; a Royal Valentine’s Day Ball with Disney Princesses, including Cinderella, Ariel and Tiana; a Hawaiian luau with Lilo & Stitch; a winter wonderland with Woody, Jessie and Buzz Lightyear; a Halloween haunt with the Disney Villains and more in a magical medley of holidays, celebrations and festivities from around the globe. The Wizard of Oz
The classic American fairy tale of The Wizard of Oz comes to life courtesy of marionette puppets in this production. Celebrate America’s rich musical heritage as Dorothy travels down the Yellow Brick Road to find out why the Lion, Tinman and Strawman are all singing the Blues. Fall Farm Day
This annual family event will feature artisan exhibits and demonstrations pertaining to life on a 19th Century Farm, including living history exhibits and activities such as blacksmithing, spinning, weaving and open hearth cooking. Children’s activities include period games, petting zoo, wagon rides, crafts, farm chores, and gold and gem panning (for $5). Attendees will be able to take home the gold and gems that they find. Octoberfest in Stone Mountain Village

Family Block Party
The festival features more than 50 exciting family-friendly activities, live entertainment including performers, storytelling, and local groups, food, interactive exhibits, craft booths, a huge toddler play area, mobile petting farm, interactive sports games, inflatable play ground, pony rides, live music and continuous storytelling. Oakhurst Arts & Music Festival

Arts & Rec
Jerry Pinkney, children’s book illustrator (and Caldecott Medal winner), brings his storytelling talents to the High Museum for this family program. Visitors can collaborate with Pinkney on a community-inspired illustration and enjoy story time courtesy of his wife as she reads The Tortise and the Hare. There will also be workshops where they can imagine and illustrate characters, storyboard and bind a book. Sun., noon to 5 pm, The High Museum of Art, Free with museum admission. All ages.
