Whether it is your week for share-a-snack at school, or you are looking to tide over tiny tummies until dinner—snack attacks can leave you starved for ideas. If your crew craves something more creative than a bag of goldfish, satisfy small stomachs with a playful presentation. Here are eight simple solutions that take snacks from drab to fab—and might even introduce some new flavors to the mix.

Rock N’ Roll

Registered dietician Desiree Nielsen adds hemp seeds (for an omega 3 boost) to her fun twist on the pipsqueak-pleasing, peanut butter and banana combo. To make her “banana sushi,” she suggests spreading any nut butter on a whole wheat wrap and drizzling with hemp seeds and honey before rolling up with a banana. Slice and serve with chopsticks (and a honey “dipping sauce”) for extra fun. Or, if they are craving something cheesy, grill up these finger-licking-good grilled cheese rolls from Once a Month Mom. Serve with marinara sauce for dipping and watch them melt.
