the scoop:

Kids ages 4-11 can learn how to ride a bike through step-by-step, REI-instructor led activities that will help them overcome fears, teach starting, stopping, and turning, and how to maneuver their bikes around obstacles. A properly fitted bike is essential for your child’s comfort and safety. They should be able to sit fully on the seat with their feet flat on the ground. If you are able, please remove training wheels prior to the class.

Adolescents and adults ages 12 and over who want to learn to ride a bike or need to relearn the basics can attend a class just for them and learn to start and stop smoothly while balancing comfortably on a bike. REI Novara bikes and bike helmets will be provided.
