Alliance

Alliance Theatre
The Alliance Theatre offers classes for children starting at 18 months. Class offerings for the under 8 crowd include “Creative Dramatics” and “Movin’ & Shakin’”. Courses for older kids include Improvisation, Musical Theatre, Film Acting and Voice classes. If your little one isn’t sure the theatre is for them, The Alliance offers a free workshop for grades 3-5. They also have a summer camp.

The Atlanta Children’s Theatre Company
The Atlanta Children’s Theatre Company offers afterschool classes in several Atlanta area elementary schools—check their website to see if your child’s school is on the list, and if it’s not, you can request a class. Geared towards elementary and middle school students, this program (which works in conjunction with the Horizon Theatre) teaches theatrical skills through games, improvisation and plays. They also offer workshop for groups and a summer musical camp.

AtlantaWorkshop

Atlanta Workshop Players
Atlanta Workshop Players has something for all ages:  “Acting A to Z” for kids teaches kids as young as three stage direction and accents, while the “Pro-Track” courses help older teens prepare for auditions and a career in the theater. They offer courses in traditional theater as well as TV acting, and have summer day camps and sleep-away camps, including a “movie and music video production camp” for those kids that prefer to be behind the scenes.

The Company Acting Studio 
The Company Acting Studio offers classes for kids and teens that focus on acting and auditioning for both stage and screen. Starting at age 7, kids can take “A Foot in the Door” class that teaches basic acting skills and enhances stage presence. Older kids can take a Conservatory course that will help them hone their skills and help them in the auditioning process. The company Acting Studio also offers a summer camp.
