Everyone loves a trip to the movies, but since getting the entire family to the theater isn’t always an easy (or inexpensive!) feat, you want to make sure the flick you choose is the right one. Luckily 2017 is shaping up to be quite a year for family-friendly films: From awesome animation to remakes the whole family will adore, we’ve rounded up the best new movies worth watching. The only thing left to do is pass the popcorn!

Smurfs: The Lost Village

The little blue gnomes are at it again and this time they're about to discover the biggest secret in Smurf history. Instead of a CG/live-action hybrid, this flick is an entirely animated reboot that sticks more closely to the source material. Plus, it'll be fun to remind your kiddos that this Forbidden Forest filled with magical creatures was around waaaay back when, and that the evil wizard Gargamel doesn't stand a chance against the likes of Smurfette and her crew.
We think you'll be in for a smurfin' good time!
