Reindeer flights to the North Pole are hard to finagle this time of year — they’re busy, ya know? But several Chicago-area streets are outfitted with enough twinkly lights and decorations to make you feel like you’re on a merry Arctic getaway. They’re dubbed “Candy Cane Lanes” and you’ll understand why at first glance. Click through our gallery to discover the spots in the city and ‘burbs that will get you in the holiday spirit.

Cheever Avenue – Geneva

With more than 50,000 lights on hand, one house in Geneva is on par with Santa’s workshop, outfitted with a sea of computerized lights that make the property look like a fairytale come true. There’s a reindeer pen with plastic illuminated versions of Santa’s fleet and a mini house labeled “Polar Bear Cafe” that’s great for photo opps. Since switching to LED lights, the household has even made the whole display greener. This place is so legit that its owners even have a webcam and put a live video feed on a website for those who can’t make the trek. Lights will be on 5 p.m.-10 p.m. daily through New Year’s Eve. Located at 813 Cheever Avenue.
