Why We’re Sweet on It: This donut/croissant mashup is as heavenly as it sounds, and a labor of love: it takes three days to make, and has perfectly flaky layers to prove it. Flavors change seasonally, and the size makes it a good lesson for Junior (or yourself?) about sharing.

The Digs: The candy-colored interior and kitschy vibe colors outside the lines, so your preschooler will feel right at home.

Perks: Stretch out your legs and come hungry, because the breakfast and lunch offerings -- short rib benedict, carrot cake waffle -- are too good to pass up. And if you’re having an Honest Toddler kind of morning, spring for a double shot of Unicorn Blood. Espresso, that is. But at this point, you’ll try anything, right?
