When baby makes three (or four or five), Mom and Dad have a lot to manage. It’s okay to ask for help and support, and have a little fun every now and then. We found essential services to make life with a little one easier. Flip through our album to see which people and places every new parent in Chicago should know about (and bookmark … and have on speed dial!).

For Food Delivery: Instacart

You could very well say this is the #1 service for new parents. No, make that ALL parents. Peruse the website and grocery-shop from some of the best stores in Chicago including Mariano’s, Whole Foods, Plum Market, Stanley’s and Costco — all from the comfort of home. For a nominal service fee, Instacart sends a personal shopper to the store and delivers to you sometime within the hour (almost always within two, when the stores are open.) The shopper calls to alert you to out-of-stock items and even makes replacements. For an exhausted new mom, this service is indispensable.
