Being a kid is hard work. After all the fort building, tea party hosting and wall climbing, they’ll probably need to take a much-needed break. Good news: Chicago has several spots that not only welcome kids, but have treatments designed just for them. Whether hosting a spa birthday party or introducing your little one to manicures, go ahead and get in on the action and make an appointment for yourself. You deserve it!

For the Diva Treatment:
Rock Candy Salon & Spa
If your little fashionista is already thumbing through the pages of Vogue, this will be their fav go-to spot. Budding beauty fanatics get their nails polished, hair blown out and make-up applied. For those that prefer silly over sophisticated, they can get in on the pampering action with green slime manicures.
Kids can get used to the good life as early as their first haircut, which comes complete with a keepsake lock of hair, certificate and photo.
Insider tip: Haircuts are half-price on Tuesdays and additional deals are posted weekly on the Rock Candy Salon & Spa Facebook page.

For a Paparazzi Moment: Spotlight on 3
Mix spa services, runway training and glamour shots at this little-known photo studio. It doesn’t normally offer spa services, but if you book a photo party for eight guests (ages 4 & up), everyone is treated to up-dos and make-up. Rock stars and princesses can also get manicures, etiquette lessons and design-your-own feather fans (a sassy prop if we ever saw one).
Insider tip: Top things off with a fashion runway show, complete with fancy gowns and accessories. Every guest leaves with a professional group photo.

Mmmmm! For guests ages 12 and over, the spa offers a signature teen facial and massage. Be sure to arrive early to take advantage of all of the first class amenities.
