Dads have the magic touch. They turn roughhousing into an art form, have an unending arsenal of silly faces and can make tears dry with a single smooch. Chicago is full of cool dads and we want you to meet a few. Get to know a trend-setting store owner, longtime improv actor, restaurant and bar tastemaker, baby-business entrepreneur and other fellows that do their families — and Chicago — proud.

Adam Beltzman

Adam has three boys - Jaden (10), Cameron (8) and Miles (5). By all estimation, they are destined to grow up dapper. The Roscoe Village dad is the owner of Haberdash, a nationally recognized menswear company with stores in River North and theWit Hotel in the Loop, with an additional location opening in The Roosevelt Collection this fall. He and wife Rachel (owner of family photography business Rachel B. Photo Studio) stay busy with their boys' extracurricular activities, especially baseball. Adam loves practicing with them and watching their games. "My father was an excellent role model and I have fond memories of my childhood and the things I did with my dad and brother," says Adam. "It's important that my kids feel the same way about me and their siblings."
