Get a first look at The Chinese Exclusion Act, a documentary that sheds a light on the federal legislation in the US that singled out and named a specific race, the Chinese, for exclusion from immigration and citizenship, at The Chinese American Museum of Chicago. This film, coming to PBS in May, details the events leading to the legislation, causes of, the consequences and its continuing impact. In addition to viewing the film, there will be a Q&A opportunity and light refreshments will be provided.
