When Chrissy Teigen and John Legend took their daughter to the park for a family play date it was pretty much the norm. You know, sandbox fun with celeb friends, giggles, cuddles, rides down the slide and, of course, mommy-shaming. No, it wasn’t Teigen doing the mommy-shaming. Of course not. She, unlike some of the more trollish Instagrammers out there, wants nothing to do with judging others. But that apparently doesn’t stop others from judging her.

weeeee are very skeptical of slides right now

An innocent mommy-daughter ride down the slide turned into an Insta-battle over the dangers of this playground activity. Comments were made, arguments ensued and suddenly it seemed like everyone was talking about slide safety.

After a commenter made a point that this slide ride was dangerous, potentially leading to Luna breaking a leg, plenty of other Instagrammers jumped in to defend Teigen. Even though the defense was much-appreciated, the supermodel mama didn’t really need any help. She responded, on Instagram, “Wish you guys would have told me about the leg thing earlier. They broke. Both of them. And everyone else’s in the park broke too just from watching it happen. There are so many broken legs here (heads up photos are a one second moment in time, I was lifting her onto my lap).”

And that’s why we love Chrissy Teigen! At least, one of the reasons.
