Break it Down: Free Outdoor Concert for Kids

The 50th anniversary of this event presents circus acts and school, acrobatics, food, musical performance, and art. Two main themes will emerge: circus fun and the effect of migration and immigration on America. . Event
Wonderland: Alice’s Rock and Roll Adventures
Alice follows the White Rabbit into Wonderland where all of the familiar characters have been transformed into live guitar-toting Rock ‘n’ Roll musicians! She takes advice from a Zen Caterpillar and a wise Cheshire Cat. She has tea with the unwelcoming Mad Hatter, and argues with the childish Tweedledum and Tweedledee. When the vicious diva Red Queen tries to destroy her, Alice fights back only to find herself in a battle of the bands with the Jabberwocky, a many-headed monster who embodies all her fears and insecurities. . This free festival will take place on the first Saturday of every month from July – October, transforming John Carlyle Square Park in the Carlyle District of Alexandria into an outdoor movie theatre. The festival will launch on July 1st with Top Gun, heading into 4th of July celebrations. Grab a date, the family or a group of friends, bring the lawn chairs and a picnic and enjoy some great flicks under the stars. Dinorock: Favorite Dinos
This Grammy-nominated audience favorite returns and invites you to travel back in time to meet some of their favorite dinosaurs. In this interactive production using giant colorful puppets and original music, children learn the fascinating world of science, nature, and history. Fri-Sat. Event
