Reston Town Center presents the 28th annual Reston Holiday Parade, featuring Macy’s-style balloons, marching bands, dancers, characters, antique cars, community groups, dignitaries, and the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus in a horse-drawn carriage. One of the “10 Best” Holiday Parades in USA Today Travel, 2016 and 2017. Afternoon visits and photos with Santa & Mrs. Claus, plus mini-train rides on Market Street, are followed by the Tree Lighting and Sing Along. Sat. Event Details.

Holiday Tree Lighting in the Middle of Town
Known for its world-class brands and restaurants, CityCenterDC delights in creating a wonderland each year for the entire community to enjoy. Touting one of the largest trees in the city, the dazzling 75-foot tree will be decked with more than 150,000 lights and 4,500 ornaments. The joyous celebration, emceed by NBC4 Anchor Eun Yang, will include a special performance by Washington DC’s very own three-time nominated and two-time Grammy Award winning choir, The Washington Chorus. Sat. Event Details.

Science Saturday 
Visit the Museum for a fun-filled afternoon of science activities in the Learning Center. This month’s theme is Fingerprints and Impressions. Discover how to identify your own fingerprints and create your own tool impressions using every-day supplies. Put your observational skills to the test in our mock crime scene and see if you can identify the important evidence! Feel free to stay for the full duration or drop by for one or two activities. Photos with Santa in Old Town 
The region’s most beloved Santa and Mrs. Claus return to Old Town Alexandria to take keepsake photos with children. Expanded this year to include four Saturdays, Santa and Mrs. Claus will welcome families starting on Small Business Saturday, November 24, 2018, and from December 8 through December 22, 2018. Advance reservation is required. To reserve a 10-minute slot for your child to meet with Santa, make any size donation to the bookstore’s special Santa account, which will be used to provide books, toys and games for the Alexandria Domestic Violence Program’s Holiday Party. Sat. Event Details.
