Super powers aren’t just for Captain America and Harry Potter. Need proof? These 11 D.C. moms may not be able to fly at the speed of light, but they soar in their own right–heading start-ups, running errands like a boss or mentoring the next generation of leaders (or all three). Corinne Cannon, Founder at D.C. Diaper Bank

After working the museum circuit for years, Corinne started and now runs DC Diaper Bank, an organization that provides diapers, formula, and hygiene items (basically all the things that food stamps don't cover) to low income families in the metro area. Each month she, her team, and a cohort of invaluable volunteers distribute a whopping 120,000 diapers(!!). But Corinne is familiar with diaper duty. In addition to running the nonprofit, she has three kids--an infant, a preschooler, and one in elementary--who she loves going on walks with in their Capitol Hill neighborhood.

Quote her! "Give up on the idea of balance! Sometimes work needs more, sometimes my kids need more, sometimes my husband does or my friends. I try to know what I can let drop that won't shatter, and then I let those things fall."
