Equinox

Chef Todd Gray, promotes a family friendly approach to fine dining by offering menus with healthy and yummy options for kids of all ages – as in, there’s no separate kids menu. Recently mentioned in The Washington Post as part of an initiative called the Parents Food Reboot, Chef Gray and the Equinox are helping to educate and support parents about why its important to feed kids the same foods adults are eating. They sort of frown on just relying on what they call the “beige zone” of foods, such as chicken tenders, fries and applesauce. Equinox chefs cater to children’s palettes and avoid putting certain strong herbs on fish or meat but keep them on the side. Fresh fish, meats, vegetables are created in various dishes and made available in half portions for little ones.
