The countdown to Christmas is on, and this couple’s DIY advent calendar just might be the coolest one out there—and we’ve seen a lot of amazing advent calendars out there this year. Mike Addis and his wife Catherine Weightman used 450,000 LEGO bricks to build their own massive advent calendar. And yes, we think they’re beyond awesome.

The LEGO-loving couple from Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire in the United Kingdom handmade their 8-foot tall calendar from nearly half a million LEGO bricks. The calendar includes 24 individual scenes—one for each day’s window. And each scene is more detailed than you could believe. There’s even a teeny tiny mini LEGO version of Vermeer’s famed Girl with a Pearl Earring sitting on top of the room’s mantle. Whoa!

Even though this is the biggest LEGO structure the pair have built (at least, as of now), it isn’t their only plastic brick masterpiece. Addis and Weightman have built everything from a polar bear to a five-story Victorian dollhouse.

And how long does it take the couple to master build these more than amazing LEGO works of art? According to the UK”s Daily Mail, the pair spent nearly five hours a day to complete their build. The couple estimates that the grand total of LEGO building hours reached 235.

235 hours of building with plastic bricks? Now that’s dedication!
