In the 21 years and 213 spacewalks that have been conducted from the International Space Station, there has never been a single all-female crew…until now. This month NASA will conduct its first all-female spacewalk! Read on to find out how you can watch.

NASA astronauts Anne McClain and Christina Koch will carry out the first all-female spacewalk which is also commanded by an all-female support team. Canadian Space Agency flight controller Kristen Facciol tweeted her excitement over her role in the historic moment.

The walk, which is expected to last for seven hours, will air live on NASA TV on Mar. 29, 2019. The feed is accessible online starting at 6:30 a.m. ET.

The timing of the walk couldn’t be any better with March being Women’s History Month. Of course with space travel, there are always many factors that go into a successful mission and mission details could still change. While McClain is already onboard ISS, Koch is scheduled to arrive at the station on Mar. 14. If all goes according to plan, however, Mar. 29, 2019 will be a historic day for women and science!
