In case you haven’t heard, the first full solar eclipse in nearly 40 years is happening this summer and Alaska Airlines is offering a few lucky passengers a chance to view this spectacular sight from the air.

On August 21, the world will plunge into darkness for a few fleeting moments and you can win a seat to the best view in the country. Alaska Airlines is giving away tickets to two lucky people on board it’s Eclipse Flight, a special charter flight that will take passengers over the Pacific Ocean at the exact moment when the sun and moon align. The flight will take off from Portland at 7:30 a.m. (PST).

“As an airline, we are in a unique position to provide a one-of-a-kind experience for astronomy enthusiasts,” Sangita Woerner, Alaska Airline’s vice president of marketing, said in a statement. “Flying high above the Pacific Ocean will not only provide one of the first views, but also one of the best.”

Tickets to the exclusive flight are not available to purchase, as the plane is booked with astronomers by invitation only. However, the airline has reserved two seats to give away to one person and their guest of choice. A contest via social media will launch on July 21 to select the lucky winner. Follow Alaska Airlines on Facebook and Twitter for your chance to win.
