Jennifer Garner is no stranger to the Internet these days. From her real and relatable IG feed to her epic reading of Go the F*ck to Sleep, she has dropped some amazing things online, but her latest takes the prize. Stop everything and watch Jennifer Garner’s epic motherhood music video now.
Premiering on The Ellen Show in honor of Mother’s Day this incredible music video is a true tribute to the “joys” of motherhood. Garner joined Ellen as a co-host on her Mother’s Day special with an audience full of pregnant women and kicked things off with a music video she created about how much she loves being a mom.
Well, except for a few minor things. Like the whole pushing a watermelon-sized human out of your lady parts thing. Sure the song starts out sweetly enough with Garner strumming a guitar to a loving serenade on how beautiful being a mom is, but as soon as she tosses that instrument aside, you know she’s about to drop some truth. And boy does she. From giving the swelling after giving birth to the cracked nipples from breastfeeding, she holds nothing back.
While her hilarious honesty might have scared a few of those soon-to-be moms in the audience, as any experienced mom knows all of the pain and suffering that comes along with the beauty of motherhood is 100 percent worth it.
