A new month, a new bunch of kids shows and movies coming to Netflix for December! Netflix is all about special holiday films and episodes for its original programming this month and we’re pretty excited. In addition, there are some fresh seasons for some of your kids’ favorite shows being released throughout the month.

While you may shed a tear over some of the departures, there are plenty of new shows and movies to get excited about. Here are our picks for December!

Super Monsters and the Wish Star

Netflix's original series has a special holiday gift for you! Tune in to Super Monsters and the Wish Star and watch Lobo's Christmas wishes come true when his fave sousing comes for a visit.

Free Rein: The Twelve Neighs of Christmas

The gals from Bright Fields are back in the holiday special, Free Rein: The Twelve Neighs of Christmas. As the stables prepare for its Mistletoe Ball, a broken ornament reveals a family secret for Zoey, and there's a new boss in town for Gaby.

Saddle up and tune in on Dec. 7.

Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle

Andy Serkis' Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle is a Netflix original and is the newest adaptation of the famed Jungle BookIs Mowgli is too scary for little kids? The new film is rated PG-13 for a reason, but if your littles are okay with some fantastical imagery of talking animals and some major drama, they may very well enjoy the film. 

Get ready for adventure starting Dec. 7.

Dance & Sing with True: Songs

Take a trip to the Rainbow Kingdom for some song and dance with Dance & King with True: Songs. Your favorite girl True and her cat bud Bartleby are whipping up some fun sing-a-long tunes and easy dance numbers to get up and get moving.

Prince of Peoria: A Christmas Moose Miracle

Will Teddy make it to the Festival of Lights? The bowling alley’s been snowed in on the seasonal special, Prince of Peoria: A Christmas Moose Miracle, but Emil assures everyone that the Christmas moose will save the day.

Cozy up for this snowy special on Dec. 14.

The team of teenagers are back in Voltron: Legendary Defender for Season 8. You'll find the gang continuing to work together, and fight evil in an epic intergalactic battle to protect the universe.

3Below: Tales of Arcadia

Guillermo del Toro's creation 3Below: Tales of Arcadia follows two royal teen aliens as they struggle to blend in as they evade intergalactic bounty hunters in Arcadia. The music and visuals are stunning and a must-watch.

The seasons lands on Dec 21.

Alexa & Katie Season 2

Besties Alexa & Katie are back for season two and sophomore year. After surviving cancer and their first year of high school, the new season brings ton of drama like romance, breakups and big birthdays.

The sophomore season starts Dec. 26.

...And Even More Kids Movies!

Aside from Netflix's own lineup of original content, some classics family movies are coming back in the rotation. In the family and kids genre, be sure to tune in to catch Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs on Dec 1. Get the entire family together and have a movie night with Marvel Studios' Avengers: Infinity War on Dec. 25.

Get ready to say goodbye to several classics in December, too. Air Bud: Seventh Inning Fetch, Air Bud: Spikes Back, Air Bud: World Pup, Air Buddies, Cars Toon: Mater’s Tall Tales, Tinker Bell, Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue, Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure, Trolls, Disney’s Moana, and Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl are all leaving this month!
