the scoop:

See outstanding masks, sculptures, and textiles, and learn about the symbolism and importance of vision and in African art in the exhibition The Inner Eye: Vision and Transcendence in African Arts. In workshops, make your own art inspired by the exhibition.

And while you’re at the museum, don’t miss Chris Burden’s kinetic sculpture, Metropolis II. Kids can sit mesmerized for ages at this whizzing, whirring mass. It’s in action every Sunday (Fridays and Saturdays, too.)

LACMA’s Andell Family Sundays are programs designed especially for families: make art, look at art, and talk about art together in workshops and bilingual gallery tours. Most of all—have fun.

The program is free with admission, and kids always get free admission for themselves and an accompanying adult with the LACMA NexGen program! Please remember that all children must be accompanied by an adult.
