Sunday, July 27

Bring the whole family to the Skirball’s Last Weekends of the Month. These fun-filled Saturdays and Sundays feature special last-weekend-only performances and activities that change every month. Take part in related art activities in the Family Art Studio, too. JULY 26—"LEMONADE STAND" WITH FALLEN FRUIT Drop by anytime 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Meet artists David Burns and Austin Young of the Los Angeles–based art collaborative Fallen Fruit as they engage visitors at a “Lemonade Stand.” This popular ongoing project offers each visitor a cold glass of lemonade in exchange for a self-portrait—a drawing of yourself on a lemon!—and a personal story of happiness, sadness, or self-reflection. During your visit, check out the artists’ specially designed, fruit-inspired art wallpaper, on display in Fallen Fruit of the Skirball. JULY 27 Drop by anytime 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Join representatives from healthy-snack company KIND for an interactive, hands-on project exploring the notion of kindness towards yourself, others, and the planet.
