DineL.A., the two-week gastronomic event where over 300 local restaurants participate in special menu options, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. But we wanted to know where to go with our kids…so who better to ask than dineL.A. Director Stacey Sun, who also happens to be a new mom to adorable daughter Imogen. She gave us her picks for the 2018 winter program that starts Jan. 12 and runs through Jan. 26. From Pasadena all the way to the Westside, there’s something for everyone on this list, all but eliminating the question, “Where should we go to eat?” Check out the list below and then start making reservations, cause family meals are about to go next level.

In Pasadena, Sun says, “It’s all about their famous Twohey’s bittersweet sundae. Vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, toasted almonds, drizzled with their housemade bittersweet fudge. Every kid and kid-ult will love it. Lucky for you, it’s on their dineL.A. dinner menu. For $39, you get a salad, entrée, dessert plus a glass of beer or wine.”

“Finding a place that opens early for dinner because the kids need to be in bed by 7 p.m. can be challenging. But at HiHo Cheeseburger, they open at 3:30 p.m. for dinner. YES!” says Sun. “And their dineL.A. dinner menu includes their triple cheeseburger, iceberg salad, hand cut fries, your choice of a slice of pie or shake made with Straus. And to top it all off, a glass of red or white wine for the parents. All for $29.”

Sun says, “For the kid who loves meat, specifically prime rib, Lawry’s is the perfect spot for the family. A meal at Lawry’s  has built-in entertainment. The spinning salad is spun and tossed tableside. Same with the prime rib which is wheeled out in a show-stopping silver cart with mountains of prime rib carved to order.”
