LA Art Show
The LA Art Show returns to the Los Angeles Convention Center. As the city (and west coast’s) largest art fair, and one of the most diversely programmed in the world, the LA Art Show features an encyclopedic lineup of exhibitors not only in contemporary and modern art, but also classical and other specialized art scenes that often command their own dedicated shows. 8th Annual Chinese New Year Celebration
The eighth annual celebration, “Happy Chinese New Year, Charming Jing-Jin-Ji,” will be held at the historic Saban Theatre. The event will included 14 traditional acts such as: Chinese Peking Opera and Peking Opera Fashion Show performed by the Beijing Liangxiang Culture, Chinese folk dance performed by the Beijing Song and Dance Troupe; Chinese martial arts performed by the Tianjin Wushu Regiment; folk music performed by the Tianjin Folk Orchestra and acrobatics performed by the Hebei Acrobatic Troupe. Mista Cookie Jar Mini-Concert
LA-based “kindie rocker” Mista Cookie Jar, brings his urban-island-folky-rock-&-roll sounds to Children’s Book World. Blending a background in creative writing, poetry and hip-hop production, his music, regularly featured on Sirius XM’s Kids Place Live!, oozes positivity and love. Settle in as Mista Cookie Jar serenades the crowd with his “stars and moon” steel guitar, mixing a rock star excitement with the warmth of family music. Bubbles will end the show. Sun.
