Newport Beach Boat Parade
A spectacular holiday affair by the sea, the 103rd Annual Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade consists of lavishly decked out boats in a dazzling array of holiday lights and music. A 14 mile route around the harbor gives spectators plenty of opportunities to take in the breathtaking view, which The New York Times hailed as “one of the top ten holiday happenings in the nation.” The parade closes on Sunday with a finale of glittering fireworks launched from Balboa Pier at approximately 9:00 pm. Ventura Harbor Parade of Lights
More than just a beautiful Parade of Lights on the Harbor, this two-day festival also includes a Winter Wonderland (Saturday from 1:00 to 5:00 pm) replete with Santa, live reindeer, Victorian carolers, a toy soldier band, faux snowfall, a craft station, holiday characters, and boutique shopping. Fireworks provide a spectacular finale to each evening’s boat parade, with Santa and his sleigh crossing the sky on Saturday night via helicopter. Plenty of restaurants are available for waterside dining, as well as a special Parade of Lights public cruise offered by Ventura Harbor Boat Rentals and Islands Packers.
