Welcome to PetSpace!
As soon as you enter the open, airy complex, you’re appropriately greeted at the door by an enormous dog statue complete with moving eyes and wagging tail. Below the giant Fido is a wall of interactive touch screens cleverly named Pet Vision.

Floating bubbles hold a wide variety of clickable information, ranging from Adopting a New Animal, to Different Types of Dog Barks, to what animals are currently up for adoption at the space. The board is as fun to use as it is informative.

Pet Porch
Next up is the Pet Porch, where stadium-type seating filled with pet-centric toys and books creates a space for little animal lovers to play. Grab a stuffed animal pup and play veterinarian, or bring kitty to the grooming station. In addition to being used as a play place, the space was also created as a location for kids to read to pets. Not only do pets actually enjoy being read to, this also fosters a judgement-free place for kids to build their confidence in reading aloud.

Groom Room
Just past the Pet Porch is the space’s on view grooming room. PetSpace’s emphasis on the importance of transparency in their care of animals is literally on display here, as the only thing separating the groomer and visitors is a glass wall. Watch as an experienced groomer goes through a 10 Point Groom-Up, checking every part of the incoming animal, leaving no paw unturned. As pets get their deluxe detailing, visitors are welcome to talk to the groomers using a touch-to-talk intercom system.

Where My Dogs At
Ascend the stairs, take a ride on the giant hamster wheel or down the two story slide, and visit over a dozen dog and cat adoption suites, each outfitted with its own interactive touch screen. Scroll around to learn all about the adoption process, get the animal’s stats, and even learn some fun facts about celebrities and their pets. After reading up on them, you can get up close and personal with the “Sniff a Friend” spot on the door. They sniff you, you sniff them, everyone gets a good whiff!

You Had Me At Meow
If you think it might be a match, an Adoption Specialist will meet with you for an interview to discuss everything from your lifestyle to daily routine, and give you an estimate of how much the pet will cost you. A Pet Patio and Fetch Deck provide the perfect place for a meet and greet with your potential new pet, and with 40 dogs, 40 cats, and 100 rabbits (yes rabbits!) at any given time, there are lots of friends from which to choose.

So much more than just an adoption facility, the space will eventually host educational events, pet festivals, workshops, and lots of other events to help people connect with pets. Be sure to check out their calendar to see what’s coming up, and don’t miss the WagShop packed with all the best products for your current or new furry family member.
