the scoop:

We use our fingers for countless uses and activities, speaking being one of them.  Yes, fingers can actually do all of our speaking for us when our voices cannot.  For some, sounds get lost or our ears cannot hear them.  In those cases, we use sign language to communicate.  “Sign Language and the Science of Sound” includes an exciting combination of science and finger speaking.
