Chances are good you’ll be popping by Universal Studios Hollywood with your own little minions at some point this summer. And now you’ve got an even sweeter reason to go, with the debut of Voodoo Doughnuts at Universal Citywalk. Portland, Oregon’s dandiest doughnut darling has finally opened its first California location, and —spoiler alert—it doesn’t disappoint.

Think Pink
Bathed in neon pink (like its infamous doughnut box), the Voodoo Doughnuts shop is impossible to miss among Universal Citywalk’s myriad other restaurants and stores. Kiddos will love snapping a pic next to the iconic oversized Voodoo Doll Doughnut outside, and will enjoy devouring the real deal inside even more.

VooDoo founders, Kenneth ‘”Cat Daddy” Pogson and Tres Shannon, have brought over 60 eclectic doughnuts to LA’s line-up, including vegan options and the Hollywood Cream, created especially for Universal Citywalk.

Unique Flavors
If you’re wondering which flavors to savor off the menu, you really can’t go wrong with any of them. With offerings like Grape Ape, Mango Tango, the Voodoo Bubble, Bacon Maple Bar, The Homer and The Loop (a donut covered in Fruit Loops), your small-pint sugar fiends will definitely go a bender here. And if you need a caffeine boost to keep up with them, grab a cup of Stumptown’s finest from the coffee bar.

Gifts to Go
The doughnuts are indeed delish, but sometimes that’s just not enough. You may be thinking to yourself, “I really wish I could drape myself from head to toe in Voodoo Doughnut couture.” Well, friend, it’s your lucky day. From pink Voodoo coffee mugs and water bottles to hats, tees and doughnut sunglasses, the gift shop has you completely covered.  Literally. All we ask is that you send us a pic.

Get Hitched
And if you moms and dads are looking to renew your vows during your next Citywalk visit (and why wouldn’t you be?), be sure to ask the shop about Voodoo Doughnut’s longstanding tradition of hosting wedding ceremonies – complete with a doughnut and coffee catered reception. Mazel tov!

Hours: Open Mon.-Thurs. from 7:30 a.m.-9 p.m. and Friday-Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Whether your kids have a crazy sweet tooth, you need a snack while you wait in line to cast a spell at Harry Potter’s Wizarding World (does your little witch or wizard know about their amazing new summer lights show?)or party with the minions, the whole family needs movie treats or you’re a Portland transport (or Anthony Bourdain fan) in need of a fix, everyone in the family will fall under the spell of VooDoo!
