Zimmer Children’s Museum

When was the last time you visited a museum where touching was not only allowed, but encouraged? At the Zimmer Children’s Museum, kids are welcome to join in a community of learners who believe that playtime and hands-on interaction is the key to creating well rounded and compassionate kiddos. Sweet, huh?

As part of the Zimmer Museum’s “We All Play Initiative,” kids of all economic backgrounds can grow and learn alongside their peers through art experiences, culturally-based programs, and play-based learning, all of which work to build a welcoming community of learners.

In keeping with the community spirit, the Zimmer Museum encourages little museum goers to participate in RAK (Random Acts of Kid-ness), spontaneous and anonymous efforts by kids to help spread a culture of kindness that can make a real difference in the world. They’re even organizing “RAK Attacks” throughout the city to get kids thinking about positive impact on a global scale. By teaching kids to be thoughtful and responsible global citizens, they’re teaching them to extend the learning community beyond the classroom and into society.

And who said that playtime can’t be fun too? In addition to their educational programs, the Zimmer Museum is a veritable child’s heaven complete with a ball pit, waterways, blocks & bricks, and imagination stations for some good old fashioned fun.

Plan a visit the Zimmer Children’s Museum and let your kids experience a truly hands-on imagination romp.
