Keeping your growing baby busy and entertained in the first year isn’t always easy. Toys get chewed and tossed aside quickly and it can be hard to know what your baby will be interested in during these early days, but one company is trying make things a little easier. Lovevery is a subscription box for baby toys curated by child development experts and it’s going to change the way you shop.

Lovevery has developed six different Play Kits each tailored to a baby’s developmental stage. The kits, comprised of non-toxic, sustainable and organic play things have been put together by experts and tested with real families across the country. “

Our goal with The Play Kits is to take one thing off your plate: researching and figuring out which toys and activities your baby is excited for right now,” said Lovevery Cofounder and CEO Jessica Rolph. “We want parents to feel confident they are giving their children the best start in life.”

Sign up for a subscription during your baby’s first year and you’ll receive a new box every two months. Each kit contains items designed for a specific stage.

For example, at ages 5 to 6 months babies will begin exploring more with their hands and mouths so you’ll receive a box that contains toys like a Montessori-style hand-to-hand transfer ball and a “magic tissue box” that lets babies pull fabric out of a wooden box and replace them again. (The idea for this toy came from Rolph after she noticed her baby loved to pull tissues out of the box.)

Each box also comes packed with a play guide that describes how to play with each item and gives ideas for other activities parents can try to engage their babies at each stage. The kits are available for order now through Lovevery. Subscriptions are $36 per month including shipping and you’ll receive a new kit every two months.
