Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been on a different path to parenthood than Prince William and Duchess Kate. While it was heavily speculated that the royal baby would have a home birth, things didn’t exactly go that way.
The birth certificate for the new young royal was just filed publicly and the details reveal that Archie was born at the private Portland hospital in Westminster London and not in the couple’s private home at Frogmore Cottage as many had anticipated. This birth was not the only famous one at the hospital. Sarah, Duchess of York gave birth to Pricesses Beatrice and Eugenie there and it was also the hospital where Victoria Beckham gave birth.
The details of the birth certificate also listed Meghan’s full legal name and title, which is listed as Rachel Meghan Markle Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Sussex. The birth of Archie Harrison Mountbatten-WIndsor on May 6 places him seventh in line for the British throne.
