One mom from Tennessee got a surprise when she went through her local McDonald’s drive-thru. When she pulled up to pay, Heidi Goforth was told her family’s meal was already taken care of.

Along with the meal, Goforth got a sweet note from her mystery meal sponsor that read, “My son is in the airforce. I can’t buy him breakfast so I bought yours. Have a blessed day.”

Goforth posted the note on her Facebook page, adding, “I just had this happen to me. It touched my heart sooo much!” She explained she was buying breakfast for her own son, which only added to this special act. Even though she didn’t know the generous mom who paid for her meal, she continued, “I pray that you see your son soon! He’s lucky to have a mom that loves him so much! God bless you and him! Tell him thank you for his service!”

A few days after Goforth posted the pic of the receipt she got an interesting comment from Caryn Scherm Hill—the military mama who paid for the meal. Hill wrote, “Kindness can create such a wave of emotion. How extra special that you were getting breakfast for your son!!! My son has 17 days remaining in Basic Military Training, testing this week and BEAST WEEK next. I will see him at graduation very soon.”

According to reports from Today, the conversation didn’t end there. The two moms have continued to send messages to one another via Facebook!
