There are fewer things in life more exciting than sharing the news of a coming baby, and even more so for couples who have struggled with infertility. When it comes to Shantelle and Wesley Mozier, who’ve been together for 15 years and handled infertility for the last 11, the day they found out they were going to be parents was an extraordinary one. Because of their journey, they knew that had to share the joyous news with family in a special way, especially with Wesley’s mother, Cynthia.

Taking the cue from the famous saying about having “a bun in the oven,” Shantelle and Wesley sliced a hot dog bun in half (did we mention they’re expecting twins!?) and left it in the oven for Cynthia to find. Thankfully, Shantelle recorded the moment her mother-in-law discovered the buns:

This announcement could not be more perfect! The couple decided to let Cynthia come to the realization all on her own, no matter how long it took, making it even more special. The fact that it took her a few extra minutes to process the news reveals just how long this family has waited to hear the precious words of “we’re pregnant.” On their fourth and final fertility treatment, Shantelle told People “I was expecting that it was never going to happen, and now to finally know we’re going to have our own family, it still feels unreal.”

Congrats Shantelle and Wesley!
