Tired of shopping in the same spots all year? Take your kids to some fun pop-up stores and markets setting up shop around NYC for the holidays. Revisit some favorites like the holiday markets or check out a few new spots. The temporary shops below are fun for the whole family, and a great chance to stock up on some unique gifts for everyone on your list. Just remember—these shops won’t be here for long!

Fort Hamilton Holiday Market

Located at the Fort Hamilton army base in Brooklyn, this one day pop-up market is a festive night for everyone. Join a diverse crowd of military and plenty of non-military guests in exploring the army base, normally closed to the public, for one festive night. Enjoy delicious food and a diverse set of vendors selling handmade crafts and arts. Take your kids for a round on the carousel or even say hello to Santa. The highlight of the night is the tree-lighting ceremony, which will take place at 5:30 p.m. Entry is free, but non-military visitors must register on the website (registration closes one day before the event), and everyone over 10 must show ID to enter the base. Note to keep in mind: parking is only available to Army personnel.
