For a Day Outing: Legoland Discovery Center

To make a full day of it, head to this center of LEGO fun in Westchester.  You can take a factory tour, enjoy the LEGO 4D Cinema, hop on the Kingdom Quest laser ride, and for younger builders, there is LEGO Construction Site with softer bricks.  Stop by Miniland, a replica of NYC’s most famous landmarks, made of nearly 1.5 million LEGO bricks and then make a game out of how many iconic buildings your family members can recognize.

For tiny LEGO fans, check out Little Playtimes, for kids ages three to five. On Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., enjoy Duplo story time, Farmer's Workshop and Animal Bingo, for $22.
