It should come as no surprise that New York is home to outta sight candy stores in just about every borough. From vintage vibes, to chocolate-only, there is a sweet shop for every one in your family — and all the ghouls headed your way. For A Blast from the Past: The Sweet Life

Since 1982 this shop has been selling candies, chocolates, gummies and more to those on the lower east side in-the-know. And while many candy stores offer gummy bears and worms, this store has such unique confectionaries as gummy fried eggs and chicken feet. From chocolates made on the premises to licorice, nuts, organics and cocoa, this place will appeal to your kids and even the most finicky kids at heart. But what’s most unique about this candy shop are the penny candies sold straight from apothecary jars. Charmingly old fashioned, just like great candy should be.
