We’re big fans of summer here, but every once in a while you need a break from the sun, sand, beaches — and heat! (Also, it does rain sometimes.) When you’re looking for a change of pace or to head inside, NYC museums and galleries are a great solution. Click through for our picks for the summer season!
To Get Wet & Wild While Learning: Dynamic H2O
The Children’s Museum of Manhattan's outdoor water exhibit, "Dynamic H2O", is back to keep kids cool this summer. Located in the museum's Sussman Environmental Center, the exhibit provides children of all ages a fun place to chill while they learn how New York City gets its water and the role water plays in our local environment. (If you didn't know, NYC's drinking water — considered some of the finest in the world — travels downhill from upstate watersheds extending more than 125 miles from the city in what is widely considered an engineering marvel.) This interactive exhibit helps children trace the path of NYC’s water as they play and explore.
