Meet Julie, Red Tricycle’s New York Editor
Before Red Tricycle New York launched in May 2011, our Managing Editor scoured the city for the right mom or dad to help lead Red Tricycle’s first ever East Coast outpost. While we spoke to tons of qualified candidates one in particular stood out: Julie Seguss. At the time, Julie was pregnant with her son and eager to help launch Red Tricycle New York.
Since May 2011, Julie has been the woman behind the New York family events calendar, populating the calendar with awesome events and writing the weekend roundups. In a city with hundreds of family events each week, Julie has done an extraordinary job of curating the family events calendar picking out the best of the best the city has to offer.
Julie lives in Park Slope, Brooklyn with her husband, 4-month-old son Luca and French bulldog Leo. She has been writing and editing parenting content for more than 10 years. Her work has appeared in Parents, Kiwi, Baby & Toddler, New Parent and Baby Talk and on iVillage.com, Inhabitots.com, Parents.com and more. She loves exploring the city with her little one from mommy and tot yoga to baby music classes.
We are so thrilled to welcome Julie as our first ever New York editor. Julie will be writing local stories to help you have more fun with your kids, engaging with you on our Facebook page, and of course, continuing to curate the family events calendar. If you’d like to give Julie a tip about what’s new in your neighborhood, what you’d like to hear more of (or less of), and any New York-worthy family news, shoot her an email: Julie.Seguss (AT) redtri.com.
