The theme of this weekend is BIG! Take your little paleontologists to meet and interact with some gigantic life-like dinosaurs at Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo Live, do a little good and join in the 2nd Annual Mega Challah Bake or celebrate the Year of the Rooster at this huge Lunar New Year Parade and Festival in the heart of Chinatown. Soul on Ice Winter Skating Party
Join Figure Skating in Harlem for this fun afternoon filled with delicious food, music, raffle prizes and of course skating. Your little ones can swirl and twirl on the ice and then watch a demonstration by the skaters of Harlem. Who knows? Downward Doll Yoga
This fun and silly class is an opportunity for kids to share the yoga fun with their favorite doll, creature, or stuffed animal! Your little yogis will explore pint-sized poses, mini-mudras, bitsy balances and teensy twists. All along the way, your little ones will be helping their little dolls try out the poses too. And if your doll is going to be doing her very own yoga poses, she’ll need a mat, so your kiddos will decorate a special yoga mat just for their dolls that they can take home to keep practicing moves on their own. Fri. Party at the Winter Carnival
Bundle up to celebrate winter in Bryant Park at their annual Winter Carnival. You and your tiny tots can enjoy ice skating, a silent disco, outdoor games, live music, a photo booth and a super cool ice castle made of translucent EverBlocks. 2nd Annul Mega Challah Bake for Kids
Join over one thousand Jewish children from across New York City for a day of unity and inspiration and ‘loaves’ of fun as everyone rolls up their sleeves together to bake Challah. Every child will bake 2 loaves of Challah, one of the loaves they will take home to be baked at home, the second loaf will be collected, baked and donated to WIN (Women in Need) for distribution. In addition to making and braiding Challah dough, there will be live music and entertainment while the dough is rising. Sun. Thunderbird American Indian Dancers Pow Wow
This show includes amazing costumes, storytelling, The Heyna Second Son Signers and dancing ranging from a Stomp Dance to a Deer Dance from a variety of tribes. Your kids will love the end of the program when everyone is invited to join in on the dancing. Fri.-Sun. Event details

Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo Live

Lunar New Year Parade and Festival
What better place to celebrate the Chinese New Year than in Chinatown? And this neighborhood’s Lunar New Year Parade & Festival will not disappoint. Your kiddies will love seeing all of the costumes, dancers, steel drums, and firecrackers. The parade starts at Hester Street and Mott Street and flows through Chinatown up to Broome Street and Forsyth Street. A cultural festival will also be happening at Sara D. Feel like being part of the parade? Head to the Greater Flushing Chamber of Commerce between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. for hot coffee and donuts and then head off to march in the parade! Sat.
