You never really need a reason to have some professional photos taken of your kid or family, but cooler temps, fall foliage and impending holidays are all good ones. (Capturing that fleeting newborn period is of course, another.) One of our favorite NYC photographers is Raquel Frechette, whose work, while beautiful, also feels fun, fresh and organic. Click through to see what we mean!

Frechette holds photo sessions in private homes, parks, or at a fun urban location — you get to pick which spot works best. Frechette works primarily with natural light and recommends choosing a site that takes advantage of that and feels true to your family's style. Photo aids — such as a special toy to keep a little one engaged or a blanket to keep things comfy — are welcome.
