New York City not-for-profit Asphalt Green will hold its 19th Annual Big Swim® .This day-long free swim meet is open to swimmers ages 6-12 years old.
The Big Swim will be held at Asphalt Green’s AquaCenter, home of the only indoor 50-meter Olympic standard pool in Manhattan. An anticipated 1,000 children – many of whom learned to swim through the Waterproofing program – will participate in this year’s Big Swim The children who participate experience an authentic race: starting blocks, officials, a timed finish, and a crowd to cheer them on. 
In addition to a free swim meet, kids get to meet Olympians and elite athletes from the swimming and diving world.
