History Comes Alive! Take a Road Trip to Boston

Recent events got the family thinking about this country’s origins? A trip to Boston is one way to revisit America’s rich history. Around every corner you and your young ones will find a place that has played a significant role in America’s past. But don’t worry, even if your kids don’t know the difference between a raincoat and a redcoat, this city also offers plenty of other things to see, do and eat. Faneuil Hall & Quincy Market

All the walking around Boston is sure to work up some appetites. If you’re not sure what your posse is craving, head to Quincy Market, where you can also take in a bit of history with your meal.

The nearby Faneuil Hall was built in 1742 as a meeting place, and expanded in the 1820s to include Quincy Market. Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market Place now boast a multitude of spots to eat or browse. Within Quincey Market you can find dozens of choices, from sit-down restaurants and bars, to vendors where you can find virtually anything.

For the full Boston experience, don’t miss clam chowder in a bread bowl from Boston Chowda. Sit in the rotunda and afterwards browse through the jumble of vendor carts and shops.
