NPR isn’t exactly the go-to choice of young listeners, but the network’s newly launched podcast for kids could finally give you something to agree on when it comes to deciding what to listen to in the car.

Wow In The World is a podcast targeted to audiences ages 5-12. Filled with intriguing topics like technology, human origins, and the answers to some pressing questions (like how astronauts poop in space), this show will keep all members of your family entertained, no matter how old. Not only is the show exciting and engaging for families, but it’s designed to get kids and grown-ups talking long after the podcast has ended. “We want to help spark conversations between kids and other kids and also with their grown-ups that will ultimately lead to their own big discoveries,” explains the show’s co-host, Mindy Thomas, in a press release.

Hosted by Thomas and NPR’s Guy Raz, the show will feature interviews with kids and focus on science, technology, discovery, and inventions. “This show is not just an alternative to screens but a show about celebrating the spirit of inquiry and encouraging kids to ask even more questions,” says Raz.
