Calling all coders and STEM-obsessed girls! Take on the obesity prevention video game challenge and you could help millions of girls and women while earning an epic reward.

According to the Office on Women’s Health (OWH), two out of every three American women is overweight or obese. The health concern often starts early with about one in three girls, ages two to 19 being overweight or obese. The OWH is hoping to change that with its new Shape of Health: An Obesity Prevention Game challenge.

The contest asks participants to come up with ideas for a video game that is focused on obesity prevention or weight control for women or girls. Game developers are asked to submit their ideas for a unique, interactive video game which addresses an evidence-based obesity prevention or control strategy.

Not only could your winning entry help women and girls become healthier, but the lucky first place winners will also earn up to $77,000! The submission period ends Mar. 31, 2019 and you can find the full details on how to enter here.
