No matter what kind of restaurant you’re at, kids menus are nearly always the same. Whether the place serves up Kung Pao or calzones, you can pretty much guarantee that the kids menu will include mac and cheese, pizza, and buttered pasta. Now one restaurant is looking to revolutionize the way we think of how kids eat out.

Panera Bread just announced that its entire regular menu is now the kids menu as well. Instead of relegating kids to the same five items to choose from, little eaters can now pick anything they want to eat that the restaurant has to offer, but in a pint-sized serving. All 40 entrée choices and sides will now come in half sizes so that kids can order what they like without wasting food, or money.

The fast casual restaurant chain is calling on other dining spots to follow in their footsteps. “In the U.S. we have ‘kid food’, but it’s not always the best food.” CEO, Ronald Shaich laid down the gauntlet in a video on Twitter, saying “I challenge the CEOs of McDonald’s, Wendy’s, and Burger King to eat off of their kids’ menu for a week or to reevaluate what they’re serving to our children in their restaurants.”
