If grandfather is just too stately a term for an awesome older dude in your kids’ life, then you’ll want to check out Paul McCartney’s new picture book for grandparents, because book gives families a whole new magical moniker to try. Read on for all the cute details.

Hey Grandude! is all about one totally cool grandpa who answers only to “Grandude”—and takes his four grandkids on some magical adventures. McCartney wrote the book to give grandparents a bedtime story to read with their grandkids. Of course, it’s also impossible to miss the fact that the name rhymes with that little Beatles tune, “Hey Jude.” (We dare you to try to say the book title without singing it in your head!)

In his video announcement, McCartney explains the idea for the children’s book came to him from his own experience as a grandparent. “One day one of them said to me, ‘Hey Grandude!’ and I said ‘What?’ And I thought, I kind if like that. So from then on I was known as Grandude.”

McCartney also thought it was a nice idea for a book and that’s how his book began. Illustrated by Kathryn Durst, the story follows the adventures of Grandude as he guides his grandkids with a magical compass to ride flying fish, escape avalanches and more.

While the book won’t publish until September 2019, it’s already available to pre-order for $16.19 on Amazon and Barnes and Noble. This isn’t the only children’s book coming in 2019 with words penned my McCartney. Another children’s book based on the Beatles song All You Need Is Love is also due out in January.
